The Proof of Concept vehicle will have the following equipment installed (all computer and peripheral hardware generously provided by HP):

Printer: All in one Photo & colour printer, fax, copier and scanner.

Camera: Digital camera

Computer: Desktop and/or Laptop for Internet and email access

Server: Proxy server for School connectivity (for curriculum & school performance data)

Operating System: Linux

Applications: Open Source

Power: Deep cycle battery & generator back-up. (Solar power will be tested) 

Memory sticks: 256MB memory sticks for Operators and Community Co-ordinators

Security: All equipment will be permanently fixed to the vehicle, password protected. The vehicle will be constantly tracked and will be fitted with multiple alarm devices.

Storage: Specially designed padded, sealed and lockable drawers will be provided for all the equipment
